JAK stands for Janus Kinase. The anti-arthritic drug they are referring to is Tofacitinib brand name Xeljanz. The dosage is 5mg twice a day. When I read the Xeljanz information it seemed at least theoretically it could have anti-cancer action.

There is another FDA inhibitor of the Janus kinases called Jakafi generic name Ruxolotinib. It is given in a dosage of 20mg two times daily for Myelofibrosis.
