Brain Mets in Breast Cancer: Breaking Through the Barrier

Brain mets with HER+ patients cannot be handled by IV Herceptin. There are cases of putting the Herceptin on the other side of the blood brain barrier, including via Lumbar Push and Ommaya reservoir. There are less than 20 cases of this being done, but the results are incredibly positive. IF you get brain mets from HER+, do not give up. There is the ability to get compassionate care treatment using these methods. Do not give up, you do not want to lose.
