All Done -- Port Out
I am just happy to report that I finished the Hopkins vaccine trial last week, with everything clear, and today had my port removed! I am feeling very blessed for these results, and will now go on with the rest of my life. No appointments for three months! It has been a long almost 3 year journey -- but my hair and eye brows grew back, my energy returned and I am generally joyful every day. I do have chronic neuropathy in my hands and feet from taxol, but that I can live with and it is not stopping me from doing the things I like to do -- I walk and swim. And although Tykerb gave me a raspy voice before my doctor changed me to just Herceptin, I am back to singing in a marvelous choir. Living and loving life everyday.
To all who are in other places in their journey, I say, educate yourselves and keep positive! I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: All Done -- Port Out
Amazing. Congratulations. You look fantastic. 3 yr journey seems like alot but you made it sound like a cakewalk. We do what we got to do and you are a good example of why we put ourselves through it. Praise God.
