50 th Birthday today 14 Jan 10
Hi everyone
Today I celebrate my 50th birthday. When I was first dx in 2001 I thought I would be doubtful perhaps to make it to 50. Well despite a recurrence in 2005 and a stage iv diagnosis then I have spent another 4.5 years in remission and now hope to live to an advanced old age.
I have seen my daughter through primary school and this year she starts her second year of high school.
Thankyou to all who post on the website as it has been a great support to me over the years.
Tomorrow I have a CT scan after having been off herceptin for 5 months. Wish me luck!
Jackie (down under)

Re: 50 th Birthday today 14 Jan 10
Hey Jackie -
Thanks for letting us know you great news. I just ate some dark chocolate to celebrate with you!
You took the plunge to toss off your Herceptin blanket, so I will be giving good positive thoughts your way for a clean scan.

Re: 50 th Birthday today 14 Jan 10
Happy 50th Jackie.....A blessing.....for sure! I'm so happy things have went so well for you. I will be praying about tomorrow's CT. I know you are stressed about that (ANYONE would be) so I not only pray that the CT scan will be normal but that God's Peace will hold you close from now until you hear those beautiful words - "you are normal!"
Love and hugs,
Mary Jo
