Reflections on the AACR Meeting

The Annual American Association for Cancer Research meeting ends today at 12:00.

I wish to thank Maryann and Stephanie for all of the help they have given for the last 5 days. Although the meeting was enjoyable, it was very physicaly demanding.

By far this has been one of our best meetings to date. There was a steady stream of research scientists to our tables throughout the day and we generated considerable interest among the participants.

The attendees at this meeting perform all of the basic cancer research in laboratories throughout the world and are far removed from the patients that they eventually help. Many expressed their sheer pleasure in being able to meet their "final product". Stephanie, Maryann and Christine. The girls repeated their personal stories countless times and all who heard them were impressed.

We will be back home today planning our next meetings:
Day of Caring / Cure Magazine in Denver
ASCO - Chicago
Oncology Nursing Society - Philadelphia
ASCO - Breast Cancer - Washington DC
And would you believe we have already started working on the San Antonio Meeting in December.

We are always searching for volunteers to assist us at these meetings. I will list many more opportunities in the near future.

Regards, Hugs, and most of all "Love and Light" we do this in your memory.

Christine, Maryann, Stephanie and Joe
