Canola is genetically engineered rapeseed (see attached). I use it for baking (as the flavor of olive oil is not good for baking), but other than that, I use STRICTLY olive oil. Also, I buy organic dairy & meat (including butter, milk and cheese) which may have more fat, but I use very little of ANY of these. For ME, I have a BIGGER aversion to "imitation" sugar, fat, preservatives etc as in MY mind I can't help believing that all of this contributes to our health problems (just MY opinion).
