Janet,
I have never heard of Benadryl interfering with Herceptin. In fact Benadryl is commonly given with a patient's initial loading dose in order to ward of flu like symptoms which is common.
I have even heard of oncologists giving Benadryl well into treatment with Herceptin.
You should ask your onc the next time that you see her/him.
