There was recently some very interesting Harvard research showing that 79% early lung cancer patients with high amounts of vitamin D in their blood diagnosed in summer survived five years, while only 29% of those with low vitamin D diagnosed in winter did. It's amazing that anyone here in the UK survives lung cancer at all.

I checked and there does seem to be a possible similar connection with breast cancer, at least the ER- type. Definitely needs to be studied.
