Hi Ladies!
I repeat my post of Feb. 4 - not easy to give up sugar, but as Jane Plant reminds us "our if is in our hands!" I LOVE peanut M & M's - like an addiction, but I only eat a few at a time and there is the protein from the nuts to go along with the chocolate! About the ONLY thing I eat that is not organic ...

"Also, Your Life in Your Hands, book talks about a no sugar diet."
I found this book when dx with my liver mets. Not wanting to lie around and feel sorry for myself, I wandered into my local bookstore and found Jane Plant's book, Your Life in Your hands.
Figuring I could not hurt things, I made many changes in my diet based on her suggestions.
It is incredible how she beat her breast cancer mets over and over. As a scientist this woman had amazing things to say about the way our food supply is grown and comes to market. She gets a little technical with food absorbtion, etc., but her points are very clear.
Getting away from things with added hormones as well as cutting way down on sugar has had an impact on my ability to stay in remission, I feel.
Glad you mentioned this book as it could be of help to many other women.
