I at first couldnt answer you. I dont think low dose steroids will activate radiation recall. I finely realized you were expecting the low dose steroids to control the radiation recall and only higher doses can do this. I investigate further about low dose steroids activating RR but it doesnt make sense. Anything is possible

Thanks for your reply. Actually I posted a very confusing message. I dont have radiation recall as such - but its the only thing my reaction looks like. I.e. I am not on any kind of treatment chemo or otherwise but get the flush as soon as I take steroids even on low doses. I may have to start on high dose steroids and am concerned it will be even more reactive. My breast looks and feels like I have severe mastitis! Kitty9

Stage 3,Grade 3 Er-,Pr-,Her2 +++
19/21 positive nodes and some axillary spread

Rt Lumpectomy and axilla clearance

AC 4+ T4
6 weeks radiotherapy breast and axilla and clavicular nodes

2 years herceptin (36 doses) 3 weekly
