I've never heard of Megace for early breast cancer, either. I've only heard of it for advanced HR+ disease that is resistant to all other endocrine treatment, often when a person can no longer tolerate chemo. And even then sometimes it seems like it's given more for the weight gain SE than for the cancer. And like you, I can't find anything about it online (for adjuvant tx).
I've always wondered what (if any) the role of the PR is in HR+ breast cancer, so this is an interesting (to me) idea. But you'll need your oncologist to to give you some good evidence to support this rather strange approach. What country are you in, and is this a regular oncologist's recommendation, or from an alternative practitioner? Please let us know what you learn!
