Karen, I *just* recieved my authorization in the mail today to see an endo. I hope they get me in asap! I need answers about my bone issues and another problem with my FSH. Since I've had a ooph my FSH has DROPPED to peri-meno range. My onc blew it off but my 2nd opinion onc at the City of Hope said there IS a problem. She even said she did NOT want to scare me but asked if I had a recent brain MRI? She said that is NOT right & she spoke to 3 doctors up there and they want a whole battery of test run on me. So until they figure out whats wrong I am NOT on any AI's. So I need to get in soon.
It sounds like a sure bet you will be started on something if your bone density was already low before chemo. Its a good thing you went to see this doctor. So now you have to wait for all the test results to come back...that sounds like what I will be doing. I wonder what other things can cause bone density to be bad? When you get any answers I would still be interested.  Thanks so much.

11-19-09 RT. Femur surgery - Rod placed
12-7-09 Navelbine added to Herceptin/Zometa.
3-23-10 Ten days of rads to RT femur. Completed.
4-05-10 Quit Navelbine--Herceptin/Zometa alone.
5-4-10 Appt. with Dr. Slamon to see what is next? Waiting on FISH results from femur biopsy.
Results to FISH was unsuccessful--this happens less then 2% of the time.
7-7-10 Recurrence to RT axilla again. Back to UCLA for options.
