Cancer location may soon become unimportant
Cancer Therapy Based On Anatomical Location May Soon Be Obsolete
See article: http://mednews.wustl.edu/news/page/normal/7026.html
Researchers & clinicians have already stated in the past that tumour "behaviour" is more important than tumour size (especially if size is stable or increasing slowly). Now it seems that tumour location may not be important or will become a less important factor in selecting treatment (with some exceptions not alluded to in the article such as brain cancer where the blood-brain barrier is an obstacle to the penetration of some drugs )
