Scans?

Hi.....

Can anyone tell me the difference between the types of scans that are used such as CT, MRI and PET scans?

So far I have had CT scans of the entire body including the brain and a complete bone scan of the body. Is a MRI better for brain scans, is a PET scan better than CT scans?

Also can someone tell me what MUGA is and what NED is? It would be great to have a posting on what all of the abbreviations stand for if it isn't too long of a list to post.
