Denise is a friend of mine who I went through chemo with. She is 40 years old and has been fighting BC for 4 years. This past summer it had met to her brain and she was just to tired to fight anymore.

I am very sad to be loosing my friend today or tomorrow. She was a joy to visit every week or every 3 weeks. She always had a smile on her face and knew she would be getting treatment for the rest of her life, but hoped for a time when she could get a break to go to the Lake of the Ozarks which is one of her very favorite places to be with her family. She did manage to get away every once in a while but not for long. It always seemed to come back stronger and in a different place. Her kids were the light of her life and she worried about them, they are so young. I would like to post a poem that someone posted a year ago when we lost some of our sisters.

"True Friends
come into our lives at Special times and stay.
We travel seperate journey's
and cross different bridges with each other's help
and with the wonderful feeling we are not alone.
Friendship is a Special place.....
I'm glad we're there."

Thank you Denise for being my friend. I will miss you.
Have a peaceful passing and know your not alone. Love you. K
