hi ive only posted on here once before but your replies then really helped so thankyou ! i live in the uk and after 4 x C A F have now had one taxotere. i have changed to private healthcare so i can get herceptin , which my private oncologist agreed to after i was denied on the nhs. However when i went for my first taxotere 11 days ago, expecting to have herceptin aswell my oncologist said that as i d had adriamycin as part of CAF i would have to wait a few months before starting herceptin. I already knew of the potential heart risks with adriamycin but feel i am more at risk of cancer ,as a stage 3 with very strong family history, than heart problems. I agreed to this at the time but now feel i want to argue my case next appointment.Has anyone any advice on this ? My other request is for ideas in coping with the side effects of taxotere, the aches and pains, red inflamed soles of my feet,and strange red rash on my wrist ?? thankyou in advance !!
