I encourage everyone to watch the new to DVD (and video, I presume) film, "What the Bleep Do We Know." It has some extremely interesting information on cellular functioning, especially that of receptors. When combined with a reading of the last few chapters in Dr. Andrew Weil's excellent book, "Health and Healing," it paints a promising picture for the very strong potential role of belief and attitude in the healing process.

It pains me to see people worrying so about this disease when that only empowers it (validated by empirical evidence). Instead, I'd like to see folks focus on who they really are and how they can tap into their natural gifts and talents and manifest them. You can't be productive and worried at the same time. Well, maybe you can but it's a whole lot harder!

I don't mean to sound preachy here or like some kind of know-it-all, I'd just really like to see people feeling more positive and empowered and able to help create a positive energy field that can benefit us all. This is not just new age airy fairy stuff, as this DVD should help make clear. There's much hard scientific research and thought behind it, in addition to all the dietary and available alt med treatments. It's the megatheory behind those specifics that I'm thinking about. There really is hope but much of it requires, I believe, a paradigm shift in thinking. Maybe this is the silver lining to an apparent dark cloud???

Any questions, just e-mail me and I'll share whatever I can. (Am taking alt medicine and cognitive/affective psych courses for my doctorate and am learning some very useful info I'm more than happy to share with anyone who feels it might be helpful.)
