post herpatic pain, from shingles

I got shingles from being stressed out more or less! Was off Herceptin due to 30% EF of heart and tumor marker was rising. My shingles were left hand &lower arm. Blisters cleared up ,But a severe burning/shooting pain started in hand & traveled up arm, lasted a minute or so & went away. This continued randomly 10 to 15 times a day. The only thing that stopped this was Neurontin 400 mg 3x day. Just be on guard and let your physician know at 1st sign of this, I suffered 4-5 days thinking it would go away with the antiviral drug Famvir that I was taking for shingles. Best to you. Velva
