Prayers answered - I have cataracts -- much worse in the right eye. Eye doc said it's a very aggressive type of cataract that grows swiftly (I didn't know there were different kinds). He said I could almost do surgery now, but urged me to get a new prescription for my glasses & said that will help a lot & if it doesn't get too much worse, to wait & see him again in 3 months. If / when this new prescription doesn't help, then surgery will be the next step.

I told him I was worried about brain mets, but he thought clearly the cataract was the issue & the rest of my eye, nerves, etc. look okay. Of course I'd have to have a brain MRI to rule out tumors. (I had one last fall.) I'll of course tell my onc. when I see him in August & ask if he thinks another mri is in order too.

So, never thought I'd be excited about eye surgery, but all things considered, this is great news!
