Once you are DXed w/ Brain mets, it seem that the insurance do not interfer with the cost of routine scaning so long as your Onc is using Mri's to assess the brain met status or for surveillance in years to come. I presentlt have cans every 6 months, but statred out every 2-3 months. Most insurance , depending upon your agreement, will pay for follow-up MRI'S for as long as requested by Onc's.
