My mom started to feel really sick after her herceptin infusion a week ago thursday. We thought it would pass, but finally took her to the hospital 2 days ago as her stomach started to really bloat. She has been admitted and the dr is pretty sure there is some sort of blockage in her liver (which is where her mets are). They are going to run more tests to see exactly where or why the blockage is occuring and then do what needs to be done. I have been trying to do some research on this topic, but I can't seem to find any info- does anyone have any experience with this? I can't help but feel that this is a bad sign. I know good things can still happen, but it hard not to lose hope. Spirit wise, my mom is not doing well, and I don't really know how to help. Emotionally I am not doing well (I am 4 days overdue, so my hormones are everywhere, and I am finding this hard to deal with, never mind being uncomfortably pregnant), so it is sometimes hard to support her. I had wanted her there at the birth, and I know she is now really upset that she will probably miss it. Anyways, I guess we just need to wait and see what the results of the lastest tests are, and then go from there.

Thanks

Karyn
