Thanksgiving in the Chilean Andes

Hi All-

I did not know how out of shape I really was but after 10 kms into the trek, there was no turning back.
We made it to a beautiful glacier pool below "El Morado".

We had day old cheese sandwiches and fresh melted glacier water for Thanksgiving, but by far, the best Thanksgiving ever !

I don't think I would have gone had I not had cancer. So, in some ways, like we all know- it does change you...

xo-- Maria
