Osteoporosis - Post menopausal bone loss

I will post any links if find on Omega three and six and bone loss to this thread to try and keeps things in one place that is easier to find.

I post it here as osteoporosis is an issue that affects so many women, and has particular relevance in BC.

A number of trials suggest DHA may assist in maintaining bone density.

"Long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPUFAs) are involved in the regulation of bone metabolism."

"In conclusion, DHA ameliorated OVX-induced bone mineral loss. GLA exacerbated post-OVX bone mineral loss, possibly as a result of PTH-induced bone catabolism."
