Navelbine and Herceptin
Hello All
I have now had 3 treatments with Navelbine and Herception (5 more to go!) and am doing really well on it. Having done the Taxotere and Adriamycin first and then Taxol, Carboplatin and Herceptin; this really seems great! And I do love having my hair grow! It started back growing with the Taxol, etc. and has continued. But the best part is that my eyebrows and eyelashes are also now growing back!!! What is it about eyelashes and eyebrows???? I feel like I have a face again!
They did another tumor test last Friday when I was there for treatment. The first one done when I started this series had gone up, but I'm believing this one will drop! They have been pretty true for me so far, but who knows!
I feel great and am learning to deal with short rests to gather more energy. I don't mind being tired when I feel so good. I get lots done!
I walk my dogs every morning for 30 minutes and that really seems to help too.
It's nice not to think about cancer all the time anymore.
Just 10 months to go with the rest of the Nav/Her, radiation, Her/?. Even if it has to change, I love having a goal to look forward to completing!

April '06 Rt Modified Radical Mas, 7 of 9 nodes positive
April - Aug. '06 Herceptin/Taxol/Carboplatin X 8 (dose dense)
Sept - Dec. '06 Navelbine/Herceptin x 8 (dose dense)
Radiation & Herceptin Jan. 22 - March 1, 2007
Finished Herceptin Dec. 10 '08! One extra year.
Port removed August, 2012.
8 1/2 years since diagnosis! 5 1/2 Years NED!
