Faslodex Anyone?

Hi All,

Is anyone out there getting faslodex injections? If so I'd like to know about your experiences, how was the shot, any premeds, what about side effects??

Hi:


I've been on Faslodex injections since Dec 05. It's a shot in the butt, every 4 weeks, for 5 years. I was premenopausal before chemo (I'm 46) but since I finished chemo, (Sept 05) I've only had 2 periods. My onco feels faslodex works better with HER2+ than tamoxifen. I did have another period last month, I started to feel crampy last week, so I think I"m still ovulating. He's monitering my hormones every month. I don't have any side effects from the shots. I'm on herceptin every 3 weeks and I do feel achy and sore muscles, but I think that's from the herceptin, not the faslodex (but who knows?) If you have any questions, let me know
