Question Is this for real or blowing Smoke? Steph, Pattyz.Micky, Lisa

You guys, I believe you more than I would anyone else. I just want to clarify this first. I relayed the info about the tentacles and the onc and Wendy finally got to talk and this is what was her reply.

"I asked about the tenacles and that is only if you have one main brain tumor. Mine is mets. I have lots to ask tomorrow and my whole family is going to be there to have open ears for what I forget or don't understand."

I know she has mets and so do you. I am wondering if the onc does? I hope to hear more later today and hopefully this is a misunderstandering. Any input would be helpful. Thanks as always. love to you.

Wink Mets do not usually have "roots"

Mets are normally rounded and more uniform in shape.
I hope her family can help her keep the conversation all straight or else someone will bring a tape recorder.
Often the patient gets caught off guard and is too shaken up to understand or ask the right questions so that their particular case is well understood.
That is also part of the job of the rad oncs team - to assist the patient in comprehending what they have and what might be the choices to do about it.
