Anne,
I'll share with you a cadence I wrote for my friend in Dallas, who's about to do the 3-Day Walk. It's corny, so bear with it.
Left, left, left, right, left.
Left, left, left, right, left.
Why, oh why, did this start, says I.
I love my friend and hate this disease,
But why, oh why? Am I crazy? says I.
Left, left, left, right, left.
>
I'll leave my husband and kids behind,
Left, left, left, right, left.
For 3 scorching days and 60 long miles,
Left, left, left, right, left.
But committed I am, so walking I'll do.
Left, left, left, right, left.
In hopes that my daughter won't have to go through
This killer disease striking many, not few.
Left, left, left, right, left.
So I'll walk and I'll skip and I'll sing and I'll pray
That we make a difference and maybe someday,
Across this great planet, breast cancer has left...left... left, right, left.
Have a terrific time! And thank you.
Love and light,
Lisa
