herceptin

How long can a person stay on Herceptin, long i hope. I do know it can cause heart problems, if it does not, can one stay on it indefinitly?? Marianne

We have several members who have been on Herceptin over 5 years. Ginger Empey, who was in the Phase III clinical tyrials will mark her 10th year in 2005.

If you have no cardiac problems within the first few months, then chances are you will not have them. Shoud you get heart problems, cessation of Herceptin. except in rare instances, will usually reverse the problem.
