Yes, I too gained some weight, but I was more motivated to improve my health after I finished my 6 mos of chemo. So I saw the dietician from the cancer center for direction. Then just followed Canada's Food Guide, ate as many veggies as I wanted, began walking every day. I also bought a book called- the Ultimate Healthy Eating plan- that still leaves room for chocolate (you can get it via amazon $14- Liz Pearson is one of the authors. Its a great book full of lots of health facts and statistics, research and it is was published in 2002, and everyday foods. Great book for great recipes and information on healthy eating.
So I lost 50 lbs from May to November. By the way, I still enjoyed chocolate and many of the things I love.
So yes, Sandy it can be done!
