Hi I'm alive
Just wanted to check in and let my her2 family that I'm still here. On Saturday the 29th I had a heart attack. I guess they almost lost me in the ambulance ride. Had a total blockage and DR put a stent in. I'm feeling ok, groin is a little sore and watching my left arm for swelling from iv's, it's very sore. But I'm here and feel so blessed to be alive. I give all the glory to God. I'll check in again soon. Just keep me in your prayers.
Love
Susan

Re: Hi I'm alive
Wow, Birthday Buddy!! I am shocked by the news of your heart attack, and SO grateful you are recovering! Having been through a couple of heart attacks I know how scary they can be. Somehow we never expect a heart attack as much for women but we need to be aware. Sounds like you did everything right and got help.I am so thankful! You are in my prayers more than ever! Hugs, Tricia

Re: Hi I'm alive
Susan,
Prayers and hugs from Central Texas.
Glad everything is OK now. My husband had two stents installed back in 2002 after he had experienced 'angina' (chest pain) He had 95%, 85%, and a 70% blockage (the 70% one was more dangerous because the plaque could break away...) in his coronary arteries. Now he takes heart medicines plus a baby aspirin every day. "Walk 30 minutes every day, rain or shine" was part of his cardiologist's order. (He's been trying to walk at least four times a week. But he's gotten addicted to ice cream again lately...)
