Left work early this Friday...as the Palm Sunday weekend begins...
I am thinking of my her 2 family and the special meaning the Palm Sunday holds for me. I have always favored Easter over Chriristmas. Don't get me wrong I love Christmas - but let's face it - it has become very commercialized, of which I am a guilty participant.
The Easter holiday has always felt special for me as it bring a deep feeling of re-birth and hope. I hope that this Palm Sunday will bring hope to all
my her 2 family along with peace.
As Jesus rode and entered Jerusalem on his donkey over 2,000 years ago, I pray that the Lord will enter each one of us and bless those who are currently having treatment with a healing to arrive at NED.
For those of us who have completed our treatments I pray the Lord
will continue to bless us and keep us NED.
I pray that everything with which we struggle, and every hope and desire we have, come together on Palm Sunday.
So, as I begin my special weekend, I am thinking of all of my Her 2 sisters and brothers and will be keeping you in my prayers.
Jean

Dear Jean,
Thank you so much for sharing that sweet, meaningful message with us. I, too, love Easter time for the same reasons you spoke of. Afterall, if it weren't for Jesus resurrection and His conquering of Death, what Hope would we have.
Although this life can be very hard, and facing what so many of us face is trying to say the least - thankfully - we have HOPE - Life eternal - where there will be no sickness, pain or tears. THAT'S what keeps me going - that's what keeps me focused.
You know when it comes right down to it - we are all going to die - that is definite - as is paying taxes ! It may not be from cancer but it will be from something. There is no magic pill or potion. There is no wishing it away.... However.... death is not the end. Thank God and thank you Jean for so eloquently reminding us of that Hope. Hope in the One who gave His life for us all.
The greatest Blessing of all.........................Thanks so much for reminding us of that Jean.
Your "sister" in this life AND the "Next"
Mary Jo

Easter holds a very special meaning of rebirth for me too....at mass this past week, they handed out a piece of red yarn with a square nail attached...a very powerful message.

Wonderful Blessing
Jean:
Thank you so very much for posting your wonderful words regarding our glorious Savior for us to think about this next week.
Your words brought alive, really gave me an instant picture of our King, humbling Himself on a donkey, prepared to sacrifice Himself for each and everyone of us. He loves us that much. Isn't it just so incredible. That picture is what encourages me. Knowing that He loves me, all of us, that much. I did nothing to deserve it, it is all Him. His grace. Not me trying to build myself up to Him (which I can never do), rather Him reaching down and picking me up. How simple is that. Just hand it over to Him!
Anyhow, Jean, you and Mary Jo said it far better than I.
Thanks sisters!
Lisa

Jean, thank you for the reminder of what Easter represents. I have to admit that over the yrs it has taken a back seat. I VERY MUCH appreciate the reminder of the time of rebirth.
Easter this year will be a time of celebration and gratitude for what I have, and, appreciation for the fact that I am off to such a wonderful start as life continues to unfold everyday.
