Muga test

Hi

My wife has to go for her second Muga test soon (her first result was 46% thereby denying her the Herceptin).

Is their a time during the three week chemo cycle when her heart would be in better shape or is the timing irrelevant?

She is currently on Taxotere (Docitaxol).

Cheers, Ron

Ron, I don't know if this will help, but I did note(when on Herceptin every 3 weeks) that when I got my MUGA's during the same week AFTER Herceptin I was several points lower than if I had it the week BEFORE Herceptin. It did seem to make a difference.

Herceptin has served as the "Backbone" of my treatment strategy for over 6 years, giving me great quality of life. In 2005, I was privileged to participate in the University of Washington/Seattle HER2 Vaccine Trial.
