Taking chemo and an antihormonal at the same time in Stage 4 disease is standard of care.
It is counterproductive in early breast cancer care where one would receive chemo first (and then possibly rads) and after that, then take an antihormonal.
If your sister is getting Xeloda and an AI and your signature on her history is correct, she is getting the right advice (taking them at the same time) as she has Stage 4 disease.
If she and you are not comfortable with this, you should get a second opinion.
