Re: Webinar-NIH curcumin and cancer prevention
Thank you for posting, this sounds like a good webinar. I am planning to buy more curcumin after finishing my current supply. I noticed there is a brand called Longvida that was developed at UCLA and apparently has a better absorption profile. I was wondering if you or any other members have experience with this product or other recommendations. I know the oral bioavailability is low so this formulation is tempting but I would like to see if any other groups have tested it other than the innovators. Thank you.

Re: Webinar-NIH curcumin and cancer prevention
Thanks. I will be busy that day, but perhaps they will post something afterwards. I will give my naturopathic physician the link. He will be interested, since he prescribed curcumin for me after testing showed it will help.

Re: Webinar-NIH curcumin and cancer prevention
Trasia,
Tanya's post reads the time as "1 PM EDT", which is "Eastern Daylight Time," so it means 1:00 in the afternoon New York time.
Hopeful

Re: Webinar-NIH curcumin and cancer prevention
The archived webinar is now available online at http://prevention.cancer.gov/files/webinar-20110517.wmv and continuing education credits are available for Registered Dietitians. * If you are a physician and would like to receive continuing medical education credit, please go to http://user-centereddesign.com/dcp_physicians/ to fill out a short feedback questionnaire (your name will not be linked to the feedback questionnaire). When you have completed the questionnaire, you will be directed to supply your name and a business email address. After you click submit, you will be directed to a link to download a Self-Report Credit Form. The form should be completed and returned to larae.mccarty@nih.gov
* All other attendees should follow go to http://user-centereddesign.com/dcp_public/ to fill out a short feedback form. Please note that Registered Dietitians will be able to receive continuing education units after filling out this form.
* The feedback questionnaire and CME certificate will be available through May 30, 2011
If you are a consumer, make your feedback count by filling out the feedback form… I agree that cancer treatment should be affordable, effective and have less side effects. This seems to be the first time that NCI — offered this type of webinars to the public.
Note: The heavy accents of the speakers may make it hard for you to understand, try to listen to the webinar using a head phone and make your environment as conducive as possible for listening and making notes.
