chest wall reoccurance?

I have not posted in a long time. I have read many of the posts and pray regularly for all. I would like to ask if anyone has had a mastectomy and then had a reoccurance to the chest wall. I had a biospy today and I am worried. The lump was right on a rib and then it would move between my ribs. Anyone have a similar experience? I have been cancer free for 3 years. Thank you for your advice and support.

Try not to worry, it could be nothing at all.

Dropping X, continue Tykerb
As of 6/10, 3/11 still negative, continuing Tykerb...

Re: chest wall reoccurance?

Susan, I would think since the lump moved that might mean it's something else besides a recurrance? Could be a cyst of some type, or many other things I've read about. It's possible that its a small seroma that's built up. I have a seroma in my chest wall thats been there since my mastectomy 2 yrs ago.

I find it odd that it moved from your rib to between the ribs. From what I understand usually a malignant mass of any type is fixed...doesn't move. I'm sure there is always the exception...but I am sending good thoughts your way that your biospy results gives you the "all clear". I know how stressful it is to sit and wait...anxiety big time. Hang in there and please update us when you get some news.
