Combining Femara with Xeloda?

Anyone done this? Anyone combining other chemos with aromatase inhibitors? A doc has recommended this combo but I thought there was a conflict in that the AI would alter the cancer cells' behavior so the chemo couldn't kill it. Although..they said the same about AI and radiation therapy and seems like now they have retracted the notion that they can't be combined. So..what's the verdict on AI with chemo?

Hi Rich,

I do believe that AIs are used with chemo. I am not ER/PR+ but I am sure others will be along to give you more info. I have heard good things about both Xeloda and Fermara.

I wish your mom the best on her treatment.

Tonya
