Arrow ~MichelleH's Husband Sends His Loving Thanks~

The loss of Michelle has really been tough on me but I have been healing with the help of still watching her children grow and witnessing her husband mend himself. He is an amazing person and I so see how much they were made for one another. He has been taking right over pulling his family together to heal in conjunction with daily life; kissing one's wounds, braiding hair, making supper, wiping tears, school shopping. I am so blessed that I can still love this family, it has helped me to feel I have not lost her and she stands nearby.

Our last conversation was composed of many thoughts of this site. How he knows that Michelle had a haven here and he always gave her the freedom of never logging on in her sanctuary. Until recently that is, he has come here and felt the love and support. He is not able to voice himself since he is not 'there' yet, but wants us to always know how he appreciates our unconditional support to his sweet wife, Michelle. He needs to send thanks and his love.

After Michelle's passing I received a card in the mail. Puzzled I opened it, what the heck, it was not a bill. LOL! It was a thank you card from Michelle's best friend of over 25 years, Stacy. Not only did she thank me for loving her like I did (how could I not?) but she needed to tell me what Michelle felt for me. She has told me stories about the true Michelle, the wonderous, happy, healthy woman she was before breast cancer. I mostly only knew the other side of her and these stories have made me love her even more. Stacy's last card to me was signed "To My Best Friend". Tears from me of course, wuss that I am.

I needed to take a moment to share Michelle's husband's and her best friend's sincere thanks to this family unit at Her2support. They both send love and shall never forget what we all meant to her. They even mentioned us at her funeral (May '08). Please know that these two extremely close people to our Dear Sweet Michelle are forever grateful and need us to all know that!!>>Love>>Believe51

Thanks for posting this Marie. If we all could give sweet Michelle some comfort throughout her journey, that alone is worth everything here.

all the best
