Abraxane & Tykerb results- happy, but bummed-anyone else?

Hi group,
I would like to wish all of you a spring of hope and healing. I just received my MRI after about 2 months of Abraxane & Tykerb. It says overall decrease in about 20 lesions, BUT there is one 5mm. lesion not seen before. In addition, I am bummed because I never realized I had 20 of them! I thought from 2 reports ago, I had about 11! Has this situation ever happened to you? Lida

Hi Lida! There are alot of things to consider. I'm sorry, but I can't remember from another post, but are you talking about liver lesions? Also, if that's the case, feel fortunate, because many times, they say "numerous" and can't give or won't give a count. I realized I shouldn't say more until you give us more info., but in 3-D testing, some "objects" can be obscured by other objects and difficult to read or interpret, and often, one radiologist may interpret something differently than another. My wifes onc. would often see who "read" the test and wrote the report and have someone else look at it as well. Yes, it's happened to most of us, I would guess. It is good news about the overall decrease. Thoughts and prayers, Bill
