More Questions

Thanks for previous answers!! Now some more questions!!

1) how many of you avoid some/all dairy and if so, what do you eat/ avoid?

2)what is the fat;protein; carbo ratio in your diet?

3)why do we all take arimidex or sim for only 5 yrs no matter what age we are when we start? Would it not make more sense to take it till, for example, age 65yrs, no matter how many years that means?

4) does anyone know what influences whether herceptin will work (in the adjuvant setting) for one person and not another and what is the success rate? THANKS NANCY

1) No avoidance, but don't eat much.

2) Guessing, 25%, 25%, 50%

3) As to never ending estrogen removal therapy, I just think there were a few studies that showed no benefit after 5 years. I've also read that cancer cells can develop a resistance to these drugs so you don't want that to happen in case you need this drug in the future.

4) I thought someone, Lani or Becki, might have said pten expression. I didn't have that tested so I don't know. H works for about half treated.

Good luck in your quest. Bev
