Sharing some humor from my long day yesterday!

Laughter is good healing as well as for the soul. While I was being made comfortable for the thoracentesis yesterday the nurse asked me if there was anything else she could do for me and I said, "take my glasses". She said, I was a needy person. I told her," I was very needy and high maintenance". She asked me if I had always been that way and I said, "no". She than, looked at my nails and commented how pretty they were as I had just had them done the day before. She asked if they were mine or acrylics and I told her they were acrylics. She said how nice. I told her I was a vain person and that was the only thing on me that was worth anything! She laughted and told me I did have a sense of humor. I told her I did most of the time. After the procedure was done and she was helping me into the wheelchair she said my socks were cute. They had strawberries on them. I told her that was my wild side and next time I would wear my green shoes. She didn't know what to say and we parted by her saying I was a nice patient. Just a couple laughs for the day. Today is a better day than yesterday. hugs, Sandy
