Kindest regards

I was given Taxotere, Herceptin and Xeloda. I had two small lung mets. They have been gone since April, I am praying they stay that way..sherryg683

I'm on xeloda and tykerb, and while things haven't all resolved, I'm stable...

Herceptin and Navelbine last fall. Just had another follow-up scan - with an all-clear.

Dear Ceesun,
I HAD extensive lung mets; all four lobes of my lungs and I also had shortness of breath symptoms that accompanied it. I emphasize the word "had" because after several months of Herceptin and Navelbine (starting on my birthday in May 2004), the mets have all resolved and I have been NED (no evidence of disease) since December of 2004. Since 2004, they have been using different combos of chemo with Herceptin; I remember hearing at ASCO in Atlanta that they were now adding Xeloda to the mix, but in any case, you have a very good chance of becoming NED in just a few months. Be ready for some joint pain and tiredness with the chemo..but keep your dancin shoes handy so you can celebrate when your scans show that you are responding.
Keep us posted on your progress...I hope you find that you too are responsive to these miracle drugs....
Love Kim from CT
