Glyco-nutrients and ambrotose

I was wondering if anyone on this site has heard of or is taking glyco-nutrients.
A few friends of mine have been taking it for an assortment of ailments and swear by it. It seems its a sugar that is necessary for cell comunication???

Maryanne:
I have in fact been taking Ambrotose ever since I finished chemo. My surgeon highly recommend me taking this to boost my immune system. I don't know whether it works or not, but I figure I have nothing to lose. I buy them directly from Mannatech and they ship to my house each month. It seems that with all I have read, boosting the immune system is a very important factor in keeping the cancer from returning.

Joannie,

Thanks for the info, it does seem to boast the immune system from what I have read as well as helping the body to heal itself by cell communication. I was wondering if I could take it with the Herceptin? I finished chemo and will be on Herceptin for the year. I know a few people who have been on it for a few different ailments that have cured themselves with a higher than recommended dose.
I guess my question is are you taking it with herceptin?
Thanks for you time,
Maryanne

Hi Joannie,

I was wondering if you knew how it affects the tagging of Herceptin?

Hi all,

I'm a big fan of investigating everything. Glyconutrients seem to be an interesting (if largely untested) area of exploration.

Here's a skeptical essay by Ralph Moss, just fyi.
