Best saying I have heard in a long time, had to share
If the world didn't "suck" we would all fall off, in the category of turning donuts upside down so the calories fall out.
Have to laugh sometimes, I can't be serious all of the time and let the BC zapp the life out of me.

My old Provencale neighbor says "If you didn't have worries and bad times, how would you recognize the good one?' also there's the saying, "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade."
Keep up your spirits, each day is a gift.

My sister just e-mailed me, she fell over on the week end, she was holding our mum's hand so they both went down together, so she said oh well, if we weren't in pain we wouldn't know we were alive, have to pay that one, I am definately alive.

Maybe the world "sucks" at times, but that is why we hold on with everything we have got! Things aren't as simple as the old movie title: "Stop the World, I Want to Get Off."
Some of us just hang on to see if we CAN do it, in spite of all the odds against us and fate trying to pry up one finger at a time.
No, as Lyn says, I have things to do and family who need me. Not to mention the whole bloody establishment to fight and bicker with!
H-m-m-m, I wonder which ethnic background has more "stubborn" genes? In my case, the Scottish, Norwegian, Welsh or French?? A little of that Viking spirit goes a long ways ... maybe I should shave half my head now??

Sue
Heard a joke along this line-
Man went in to visit the Doctor.
After looking at the scans and tests the Doctor comes back out and says "I'm sorry but I have some bad news. You only have 5 minutes to live."
The patient is very upset and in tears says "Doctor, isn't there anything you can do??"
The Doctor looks at him and says "Well I can make you a 3 minute egg"
----Well, I liked it.

A bit like the clairvoyant who told the man she couldn't see any future for him beyond that day, ha ha the clairvoyant died. I was supposed to expire in 2000, just like the stuff in the supermarket, just as they say that is just a suggest used by date, so here we are and forever and beyond.

More fun with words!
The Washington Post's Style Invitational once again asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Here are this year's winners:
1. Bozone (n.) The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.
2. Cashtration (n.) The act of buying a house, which renders the subject financially impotent for an indefinite period.
3. Giraffiti (n) Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.
4. Sarchasm (n) The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.
5. Inoculatte (v) To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.
6. Hipatitis (n) Terminal coolness.
7. Osteopornosis (n) A degenerate disease. (This one got extra credit.)
8. Karmageddon (n) It's like, when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it's like, a serious bummer.
9. Decafalon (n.) The grueling event of getting through the day consuming only things that are good for you.
10. Glibido (v) All talk and no action.
11. Dopeler effect (n) The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.
12. Arachnoleptic fit (n.) The frantic dance performed just after you've
accidentally walked through a spider web.
13. Beelzebug (n.) Satan in the form of a mosquito that gets into your
bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.
14. Caterpallor (n.) The color you turn after finding half a grub in the
fruit you're eating.
