Hi Erica: I think weither or not you get lymphadema after surgery and/or radiation is up to the "Cancer Gods" sometimes. Everyone has variations as to how their bodies are put together and when a surg. cuts tissue and nerves and removes pieces some people are going to experience more damage than others. Sounds like you had an excellent result from your surgery. I guess my post sounded negative but I wanted to be sure the issue of lymphadema was addressed so an informed decision could be made. I would hate to be in a position where someone would say, "Why didn't anyone tell me about this possibility?" Take Care, Linda
