Hi Rose,
I just remembered that on the consent form I signed for the clinical traiI it states:
"Although the cause and risks of bleeding in most subjects are not completely known, it is possible that administration of rhuMab VEGF (Avastin) could cause or increase bleeding at tumor sites, including tumors in the brain. Bleeding at tumor sites, particularly those in the brain, could result in permanent disability or death. If you currently have brain metastases, you may not participate in this study."
It sounds as though your brain mets are on their way out, so maybe once they are resolved Avastin might be a possibility. Feel free to email me. Regards, Carol

Wow, that is depressing! I am hopeful though that they are as you say on their way out. 2 are gone, 1 small one left that is getting smaller. I wasn't thinking of doing a trial, I know Idon't qualify. I was going to try and use it off label. I just hadn't figured out how yet. I think some groveling to the drug company might be in order....
