Toxin gene kills pancreatic cancer cells, study says

U.S. researchers were able to destroy pancreatic cancer cells -- while sparing normal cells -- within six days by using nanoparticles designed to administer a diphtheria toxin gene. The technique could be used in future preclinical animal studies and the development of a clinical approach.
