I graduated - last herceptin today

My regimen was every 3 weeks for a year and I had my 18th and last this morning. I'm afraid to celebrate much, it is never good to tempt fate but I am relieved. This all started with dose dense chemo in March of 06 so it's been a long haul. It will be interesting to see if some of my aches and pains go away.

mke, I just wanted to say congratulations...its nice to get through your trt. Its a rough road when you first start...but so nice once you see that light at the end of the tunnel and finish. Wishing you all the best.

Sending lots of positive and happy thoughts your way.

Thanks for the congrats. It does go on for a long time. I finished yesterday with another woman who had been through the same journey. We went down the elevator with her husband who said with heartfelt sincerity "I wish we could tear down this building".

Actually it is a lovely structure architecturally, but it is a cancer treatment center. We agreed with him.
