I noticed that you have a recipe for Tumeric Tea?
Can you share. I just bought some tumeric since I read that it was good for inflammation and thought what the heck.
But in a tea
Would love to try.

Oct'08~ dropped Xeloda, switched to tri-weekly Herceptin in combo with Tykerb, extend to tri-monthly Zometa infusion
Dec'08~ Brain MRI- 4 spots reduced to punctate size, large spot shrunk by 3mm, CT of torso clear/pelvis spot stable
June'09~ new 3-4mm left cerrebellar spot zapped with IMRT targeted rads
Sept'09~ new 6mm & 1 cm spots in pituitary/optic chiasm area. Rx= 25 days of 3D conformal fractionated targeted IMRT to the tumors.
Oct'09~ 25 days of low dose 3D conformal fractionated targeted IMRT to the bone mets spot on rt. iliac crest that have been watching for 2 years. Added daily Aromasin back into treatment regimen.
Apr'10~ Brain MRI clear! But, see new small spot on adrenal gland. Change from Aromasin back to Tamoxifen.
June'10~ Tumor markers (CA15.3) dropped from 37 to 23 after one month on Tamoxifen. Continue to monitor adrenal gland spot. Remain on Tykerb/Herceptin/Tamoxifen.
Nov'10~ Radiate positive mediastinal node that was pressing on recurrent laryngeal nerve, causing paralyzed larynx and a funny voice.
Jan'11~ MRI shows possible activity or perhaps just scar tissue/necrotic increase on 3 previously treated brain spots and a pituitary spot. 5 days of IMRT on 4 spots.
Feb'11~ Enrolled in T-DM1 EAP in Denver, first treatment March 25, 2011.
Mar'11~ Finally started T-DM1 EAP in Denver at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center/Rose on Mar. 25... hallelujah.

Properties in Turmeric/Curcumin are supposed to have strong anti-cancer activity and it is being researched and has been put in to clinical trials... It is supposed to be very anti-inflammatory.

Hey there ladies
Just wanted to let you know that I tried it last nite just as I said while I was watching my prerecorded soap operas and relaxing in my recliner.
I LIKED it very much. I had to use what I had in my pantry since I need to go to the grocery store. I used organic low fat milk and some vanilla that I brought back from my trip to Mexico and some honey. This alone was very nice. I refrigerated the remainder and will try it cold today.
I have not passed this by my onc. but I assume it is ok to take and this should not have any counter active effects on the Tykerb & Avastin?
You know how those doctors are . Since it is a cooking spice I imagine there can't be any problems with it.
Thank you all again and I will continue to have a nice warm cup of it in the evening time.

Always check with your onc, but my friend who was going to MD Anderson a couple of years ago was actually trying curcumin supplements while she was in an experimental chemo regimine... and MD was either behind it or had no problem with it. And it was a supplement. Like you said, we are using culinary spice, so I assume it is OK. I will look it up in Dr. Labriola's book and see what it says and get back to ya... oops, it's still packed in a box.
