Hormones in cows milk and meat should you be concerned - help please

I felt sufficiently concerned after a bit of searching to re post this here in case you do not visit articles of interest.

I have no answers as to whether the levels of hormones progestrone and 17beta oestradoil are sufficiently high to be of concern in humans or more specifically here to those with BC.

I simply do not have the knowledge.

It appears cattle are pelleted with hormones for production reasons.

I only drink organic milk, and buy meat and chicken raised without hormones and antibiotics. There was a study done at the Brigham in Boston a year or two with milk and school age children. I don't know the results.
Best,

I have been concerned from the start and switched to organic milk from non-dairy fed cows. Also, when I buy meat I also buy non-hormone fed. However, I still eat out but try to minimize exposure to hormone fed meats--eat more fish and vegetarian dishes, although still have some chicken.

Professor Jane Plant from England is a breast cancer survivor for 20 years. She comes to Iceland every now and then because she is actually a professor in geologi or geothermo. Anyway her researches says that cowmilk, organic or not, can activate the bad cells in breast cancer and prostate canser. She has written the book The Live in Your Hands for bc and another one for prostate cancer. You can search information in the web. I asked my onc last autumn about it because she was interwieved her in all newspapers. His answer was ,,We know there are some proteins in cowsmilk that can activate some bc-cells but not enough to say that you will heal or cure if you stop drinking milk" (Note also that it is some bc and remember that we cant compare totally with another bc patient.
Im now on her diet (she also a recipe book) and honestly believe its good and I dont need milk or milk product (miss the ice cream though) I use soya milk or rice milk where needed. This diet means also one has to read all labels on package carefully because milk is used in many things as substative.
Cowsmilk is not necessery for adults and many have difficulty digesting it. It is known that Afro-Americans up to 7ö-80% have an allergy to cowsmilk.

Best regards

Jóhanna

Visit www.themeatrix.com and you may never eat meat and animal products again. It is a sin the way the big corporate businesses treat our animal food supply. It's no wonder we are all getting diseases that were unheard of 100 years ago.

I asked my radiation oncologist if there was anything I could do, diet-wise, to help prevent recurrence. He said he and his wife only buy organic milk and meat because too many hormone additives are in nonorganics. Oh my is organic meat expensive!
