Hair Today Gone Tomorrow
Well everyone, I did it, finally and so happy I did. I had my hair buzzed off after many days of struggling with losing huge amounts every morning for a week. I have to admit, it wasn't bad at all. It was more traumatic watching the hair loss daily then losing it all last night at my wig guys. They were wonderful, we, me my daughter and sherry and the guys all had a wonderful glass of Shiraz, had a toast to good health, long life and good friends before the removal. We joked and told stories and before completely buzzing my hair off, Brian took it down to 3 different stages so I could get a picture of different cuts as my hair would return. I think this gradual approach to getting rid of my hair was such a phenomanol method. By the time the shears were abuzzing I was fully prepared. And you know what, I looked better bald then I did with the severe hair loss. My wig is beautiful and looks like a perfect match to my hair and it is so light weight, they have patented this liner that is made of theatrical lace so the hair looks like it is coming right out of your scalp. They matched the color beautifully. If anyone is near the Chicago area, I would highly recommend them. Tomorrow is my 2nd chemo treatment, just as I was having my best day since last treatment, but that is okay, after tomorrow I will be halfway through! So from my beautiful bald head to all of you, stay well and thanks for your ongoing encouragement and support.
